Day 9 Erfurt - Frankfurt

Thursday, March 12 awaken at 2:30 am from frantic texts from our family and friends due to President Trumps announcement of halting flights from Europe.  The news stated that all flights from Europe would be halted on Friday, March 13 at midnight.  We quickly packed our suitcases, checked out of our hotel in Erfurt and drove to Frankfurt.  Bill stopped at the airport and confirmed that we could still leave on Friday.  We were assured we could, so we made the decision to check into our hotel near the airport and leave as planned on Friday morning.  We found a bakery and had some breakfast and checked in for our flights.  Fingers crossed that we can get home tomorrow.

Day 8 - Naumberg and Erfurt

On Wednesday, March 11 we drove from Berlin to Erfurt.  On the way we stopped in Naumberg to see the Naumberg Dom and have lunch.

Day 7 - Berlin

Tuesday, March 10 we spent dodging raindrops, touring the Berlin Cathedral and visiting the museums on Museum Island.

Day 6 - Berlin

On Monday, March 9 we drove from Dresden to Berlin.  We spent the rest of the day seeing some of the significant historical sites.

Day 5 - Dresden

Sunday, March 8 we spent seeing all the sights in Dresden we missed yesterday due to the cold weather.  It was a beautiful day with blue skies and mild temperatures.
